Serving Ideas
Falafel is traditionally served in pita bread with lettuce, tomato, and tahini sauce. Falafel also makes a perfect hors d’oeuvre served with cut vegetables and dips.
Directions
In a large bowl, combine contents of one bag with 1/3 cup plus 2 Tbsp. of water. Let stand 10 minutes. Shape the mixture into 1-inch balls. Pour corn oil into heavy skillet or saucepan to a depth of 1/2 inch. Heat to 350 degrees F. Add falafel and fry until golden brown, about 2 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels. Makes about 12 falafel balls.
